AGRI MAGAZINE

Agri, incorporating Die Boer/The Farmer, is a two-monthly A4 glossy publication distributed to about 33 000 farmers, opinion leaders and decision-makers.  The publication is produced on a cost-recovery basis.
The expert inputs of Agri SA functionaries form an indispensable part of Agri's success.  These functionaries report on a wide spectrum of issues, including the economy, trade, environmental affairs, water affairs, safety, land affairs, labour, training, infrastructure, technology, farmer development and Agri Securitas projects.

News items from Agri SA's affiliates are published regularly and newsletters and other topical issues from various provincial agricultural unions are edited and published as part of Agri's editorial content.  News from other agricultural partners is also regularly accommodated.  Each issue of Agri has its own theme, and an attempt is made to publish articles that fit into the specific theme.  A profile of a prominent member of the organisation is also published in each issue.

Good feedback was received and enquiries about the articles and advertisements that appeared in Agri serve as an excellent barometer of the demand for it.  A survey undertaken among farmers by an independent research group, Research in Action, revealed that Agri was one of the top four agriculture publications read by farmers in the country.
