Many people from the farming community joined CrisisOnCall during the last year. During this period, telephonic medical advice was supplied to several people living in the country and who do not have immediate access to a doctor or hospital. Seriously injured persons were airlifted to the city where intensive medical assistance is available to save precious lives.
The trip monitoring service also provided total peace of mind to farmers and their families when travelling back to their farms.
CrisisOnCall even saved a farmer from a possible robbery when his wife contacted the call centre for help. Immediate action was taken and it saved the farmer from the attack.
CrisisOnCall is proud to contribute on a monthly base to the Agri Securitas Trust Fund and thus contribute to the safety of people in the country.

Nissan South Africa is proud to be associated with agriculture in South Africa. Nissan SA started its active involvement with the Agri Securitas Trust Fund and Agri SA in the year 2000. Nissan SA has already invested more than R3, 000,000 in the Agri Securitas Trust Fund. These funds were used for projects that had a direct impact on farm security in various areas of our country. Nissan SA recently announced that our five-year agreement with Agri SA would be renewed for a further period. The above confirms Nissan SA's support for agriculture in South Africa.

Total SA has over many years visibly demonstrated its loyalty to agriculture, in general, and to farmers, in particular. Total SA believes that it was a good long-term investment, especially given the farmer's ability, despite a legion of policy and other changes in the past decade, to maintain with distinction agriculture's position in the economy. The personal contact between Total SA and the agricultural sector within this partnership relationship is also not underestimated.
While aware of the fact that agriculture is periodically confronted with disasters, Total SA has also recently attempted to make a positive contribution in this regard. With a view to developing meaningful systems, procedures and support measures in collaboration with the government, Total SA has made further funding available that will be used by role players for this purpose.
